A Fresh Start
If you arrived at this blog from a search engine expecting something else, what you were looking for is no longer here… Why?
Because I’ve hit the “reset” button on this blog.
I literally deleted several years worth of content (including a ton of content highly ranked in the search engines)?
Why would I do something like that?
Because I had been allowing others to post content to my blog in exchange for a link to their website. All this new content was great for SEO purposes, and it allowed my blog to grow on autopilot…
But there was a downside!
Since the content wasn’t written by me, I couldn’t control the quality of the content.
This resulted in plenty of content published on this blog that I definitely wasn’t proud of.
In most similar circumstances I would simply start again with a brand new blog, however, since this blog bears my name I decided my best option was to start fresh. From here on out all content will be written by ME!
So…
Welcome To The New RyanEven.com!
Feel free to leave a comment and let me know if you think I made the right decision is deleting all my blog content?

Hello Ryan,
I was hoping to contribute to your SEO blog. I’ve been reading it and I’ve really enjoyed a number of your recent posts.
Also, I think that your blog is a perfect spot for me to try to gain more exposure for a website and company that I help to run and maintain, which can be found at inetzeal.net.
I have much experience in the fields of SEO, Web Development, PPC campaigns, and overall Internet Marketing. I have worked with a few different Internet Marketing Companies, and have also helped a few local businesses achieve online success in the SERPs – bringing them from point A to point Z.
The article I would write for you would of course be 100% unique and never sold or distributed anywhere else, as well as highly valuable to your readers.
If you would like to review a post from me, or here a few ideas I have for a post please let me know.
Kind Regards,
Anthony
3rd Party submissions are no longer accepted. They are why I had to shut down this blog in the first place.
Hi Ryan, do you offer advertising here, on your blog?
We are interested in advertising on your blog. We produce products relating to traffic/lead generation and online marketing so there would be a good fit with your blog content.
There are three ways we can proceed if you are interested:
1. If you would be willing to run a banner we would be willing to either pay you a flat monthly rate or give you 70% (our standard affiliate commission) of any sales arising from clicks through the banner.
2. We can provide you with a review copy (full version) of our traffic generation guide in return for you featuring a review of the product on your blog. If you are short on time we can provide you with a pre-written review template.
3. We can provide you with a free report (branded with your Clickbank affiliate ID) which you can give away on your blog or to your list members.
If any of these options appeals to you please contact me by return and I will ensure full details are sent to you.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help or if you would like more information.
Best wishes,
Margaux Panlilio

I saw on the net you have an office in Beaverton? Are you living in OR currently. If you are I would love to catch up and BS. I have many things in the works and have a LOT to offer myself. This is definitely not one sided, but if your in town Ill buy you coffee or lunch or something.

Well, it’s hard to tell if it was the right move as you have one post written back in May, about flipping blogs???
It would be interesting to hear why you couldn’t control the quality of guest posts as you published them, or reject them outright if they weren’t all that good. I guess the volume of posting you’ve been doing since May answers that question pretty readily though…
Oh well, look forward to hearing your response some time in December.
Cheers!
Mike
You got me there Mike! LOL
I definitely haven’t made this blog a priority yet simply because I have several successful businesses in multiple niches that I’m running and I haven’t found the time to add new content to this blog for a while. Especially with a new baby in the house.
It comes down to priorities, and right now the priorities (besides spending time with my family and new baby) are the sites that are up and actually bringing in a lot of money already. This site ranks well and gets a good amount of traffic, but it isn’t a big money maker.
I do intend to pick up the pace of my blogging on this site in the future.
As to the guest posts, it was set up in a way that the guest posts were published automatically by the service I was using and unfortunately I couldn’t control the quality on the content, and although I could go back and delete the bad content after the fact, by that time it was often ranking and getting a bunch of traffic.
Anyway, thanks for posting (and yes I approve negative comments as well), I thought about waiting to post this response until December, but I couldn’t figure out a way to have WordPress do that automatically.
Good to have you back. There are always two sites to every story as you said.
This comment is just a test…
Yeah and I was wondering how do you rank on the second page for “internet marketing blog” with just few posts..
And btw, it’s a great decision to do so. You chose to work hard (no more auto-pilot) in order to have a better posts which is a great choice
I like your blog, good luck man!
